3D printer

October 30th 2011 19:21

Can we really print 3D object just like we do with normal 2D printer? Yes, it is possible, three dimensional object can be created by laying down successive layers of material. Using Z-corp 310 printer, you can print 3D object in monochrome by high performance composite, direct casting, elastomeric, or investment casting. The workstation compatibility is Windows and the resolution 300 x 450 dpi.

Below is the 3D ball bearing printed using Z-corp 310 printer.

We can also print 3D object from metal using Direct metal laser sintering, which is an additive metal fabrication technology developed by EOS out of Munich, Germany. The metals used are stainless steel, maraging steel, cobalt chromium, inconel 625 and 718, or titanium Ti6Alv4.
