Aliens are real

This is something that I learned and will always remember, from my Astronomy 101 class in my first year of uni. If the universe was the size of my Astronomy textbook, then the size of our entire solar system would be the equivalent to a trillionth of a trillionth of one full-stop in that textbook.
So comparatively, our solar system is pretty damn small. The distance from the Sun to the outer edge of the solar system, say around Neptune, is about 4,500,000,000 kilometres. So double that, and you get the diameter of the solar system. These vast distances are almost beyond comprehension, yet we don’t even register as a fraction of a full-stop in a textbook! And that IS beyond comprehension.
So if our earth is so miniscule and insignificant, then why would we be the only life-form in the universe? If we indeed are, then that itself is wildly more amazing. OK, maybe they won’t look like this:
But something is out there, somewhere. I can tell you this though. Not in our lifetime, will we find them.
