How to Keep Your Brain Young?

As we are getting older, our brain neurons lose connections between them. To slow down aging, we need more blood supply, more nutrients and more oxygen.
Aerobic exercise is a good way to keep our brain healthy and young. Although the brain represents only 2% of the body weight, it receives 15% of the cardiac output, 20% of total body oxygen consumption. We need a strong heart for the blood supply to the brain. Aerobic exercise can increase capillary development in the brain and bring more blood.
Food Nutrition is also important for Brain Development. Amino acids produce neurotransmitters and make up the communications system in your brain. Animal foods, including eggs and milk products, are excellent sources of protein and, thus, the amino acids that come from the breakdown of protein. We also need micro-nutrients from fruits and vegetables, and Carbohydrates to maintain adequate levels of the brain fuel glucose. Fish, containing Omega-3. Brain health can be dramatically improved by intake of omega-3 fatty acids and fish oils. The omega-3 fatty acid known as docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an important ingredient for optimal brain function.
Often exercising our mind is also a good way to keep our brain young. Our brain is a learning machine and need to get stimulated often. Enough sleep, stay calm and less pressure can also keep our brain young.
