1) There are two main types of seep: Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep and Non-REM sleep. In REM sleep which begins about 70 to 90 minutes after you fall asleep, your eyes move back and forth and you do the most active dreaming.
2) Teenagers and small children need bout 10 hours sleep while for the average adult (age 25-55), 8 hours sleep is best. Those over 65 years old need less sleep around 6 hours. Too much sleep and too less sleep are not good.
3)We dream about things worth remembering.
4) Average person has 1460 dreams in a year.
5) Sleep strengthens memory and may solve your problems in your dreams.
6) For daily sleeping time, bats sleep 19.9 hours and cat sleep 12.5 hours. Whales sleep 5.3 hours and Elephants 3.1 hours, while Giraffes only sleep 1.9 hours.
